CollegeOwl.com: A Brief Introduction
Hey, it's your college experience. Why not learn from the wise ones that have passed, suffered, and triumphed before you? Of the many course resources and evaluations out there, none have set out to provide a forum to solicit advice, knowledge, and strategies from Harvard students who have been there, done that, and only wish that they had known better. Now you do.
Make CollegeOwl.com your first stop for pre-shopping period, pre-concentration planning, and even pre-course dropping consultations. Find all the relevant supplements you need to gain an edge on exams and study efficiently.
CollegeOwl.com allows all Harvard students to:
-Read firsthand testimonials of the classes that rock, the cores that bomb, and the tutorials that make or break a semester
-Gain free, unrestricted access to guides, summaries, notes, reviews, resources, and relevant musings for over 400 classes.
-Sign up and get paid for submitting course reviews, notes, or study guides
-Buy and Sell books and dorm essentials from students on campus on our interactive trade floor
CollegeOwl is unique in that it pools the resources of students all over campus to create its online database. This means that we're constantly in need of people to submit class reviews and notes to keep the database up-to-date and optimally useful. Contributing is rather painless and simple.
Just make sure to follow these steps:
1. Register an account with us at: <Join CollegeOwl.com!>
2. After logging in with your new username, click on submit and choose the class for which you'd like to contribute
3. Paste your submission (must be over 300 words and under 3000 words) into the blank space and click "submit." You'll receive a confirmation email from babyOwl once it's all done
4. After our editors review your submission, it will be published online and accessible to all students
5. You will be paid according to how many hits your article receives
The more students that contribute, the greater resource this will become. Since we've opened up the database early September, submissions have been flowing in but we still need as many people as possible to offer their rants, raves, and reviews. There are no stipulations on how many articles you must submit and you may stop contributing at any time. Please use collegeowl.com responsibly and submit articles at your discretion.
Still to come:
-Free ad space available to all student groups
-A special high school section with advice on college applications, essays, and financial aid.
Looking forward to your submissions,
The CollegeOwl Team
